She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomson and Blanche Thomson (Spicer); and her siblings, William "Billy" Thomson (Betty), Isabel Addington (George) and Nona Weisner (Clyde).
She is survived by: her husband Merlin Barkhouse; her children, Donald "Don" Barkhouse (Peggy), Ross Creek and Kathy Barkhouse; her grandchildren, Christopher Barkhouse (Geneva), Banff, Danielle Barkhouse and Edmonton; and her brother Robert "Bobby" Thomson (Eddie).
