He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorne Barkhouse and Blanche Barkhouse (Layton) of Kingsport; his wife Mary Scott (Thomson); and his brothers, Lawrence, Wylie and Roland.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy and Donald "Don" (Peggy); and his grandchildren, Christopher (Geneva) of Banff and Danielle of Edmonton, Alberta..
A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the White Family Funeral Home (100 Cornwallis St, Kentville, NS B4N 2E4).
