Ronald Ellsworth Horne Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald Ellsworth Horne (Canso, Nova Scotia), who passed away on December 1, 2025 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ronald Ellsworth Horne to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellsworth Horne and Mabel Horne (Snow); his parents-in-law, Raymond Munroe and Kathleen Munroe; his siblings-in-law, Dave Boudreau, Michael Munroe, Dale Munroe and Paulette Richardson; and his niece Karen Haines.

He is survived by: his wife Margie Horne (Munroe); his daughters, Suzanne (Jim) and Sharon (Chad); and his sister Carol. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Star of the Sea Cemetery. A reception was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Canso Fire Hall.
