He was predeceased by : his parents, Archibald MacDonald and Eva MacDonald (Jones); and his sisters, Geraldine Turbitt, Phyllis Hale, Nona Vincent and Joyce Spidle.

He is survived by : his wife Rosemary (Ball); his children, Rae-Anne Ward (Anthony), Carys Palmer (Adam) and Grafton; his grandchildren, Kamryn, Jordyn, Layne, Brooks Ward, Ryley and Lily Palmer; and his sister Jean Killam. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
