She was predeceased by: her parents, Harris Brown and Laila Brown (Ross). She is survived by: her husband Clyde; her children, Winnie (Joey), Laura, Ronalda (David), Jasmine, Melissa, David, Clyde Jr., Victor, Ronald, Jeffery, Brian, Romain and Quentonio; her siblings, Evangeline and Aubrey; her godchildren, Daneesha Provo, Santia Grant, Natisha Provo, Rayshaun Brooks and Charles Colley; her nieces and nephews, Rachel Brooks, Thorton Thompson, Kelsey Beals, Donna Grant, William Grant, Linda McCrae, Markeita Stafford, Roxanne Williams, Lee Brooks, Troy Thompson and Wanda Brooks; her daughters, Vonita and Anita; her siblings, Levi, Florence and Muriel; and her friends, Jessie and Graham Whynder. She is also survived by her 31 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Beginnings Ministries (26 Cherry Brook Rd, Cherry Brook, NS B2Z1A8). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of Flowers donations in Mayola's memory can be made to East Preston United Baptist Church or Hospice Halifax.
