With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel Louise Smith of Chester, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 16, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Richard "Dick" Sweet and Margaret J. Sweet (Brown) of Curry's Corner. She is survived by: her husband Harris Sidney "Sid" Smith of Chester; her son Richard of Windsor; her granddaughter Alicia (Gordon) of Sweets Corner; her sister Joan; her brother-in-law Robert Bearne of Bridgewater; and her close friends, Sue, Tod Hennigar, David, Patsy Shnare and Cynthia Wentzell.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in memory of Ethel be made to a charity of one's choice.
