She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Stewart and Thelma Stewart (Newell); her husband Kenneth "Teddy" Swimm; her son Billy; her siblings, Marina, Mary, Irene, Dorothy "Dotti", Kenneth Jr., Nobel, Albert, Douglas, Ronald, Frank and Standford; and her siblings-in-law, Catherine, Ruth, Violet, Heather, David and Clarence.
She is survived by: her sons, James "Jimmy", Stephen and Joseph "Joey"; her siblings, Anne, Helen, Geraldine (Angus), Anthony, William "Billy" John (Diane) and Bruce (Susan); and her sisters-in-law, Sandy and Geraldine. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Island Gospel Tabernacle (931 Stoney Island Rd, McGrey, NS B0W2G0).
