He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stewart and Luella Stewart (Ross); his former wife Janet; and his siblings, Ralston, Robie, Jean, Joyce and Gloria.

He is survived by: his wife Carla; his children, Rhonda Anderson (Darryl), Shawn (Lori) and Darren (Maggie); his stepchildren, Lanny Newell, Teri Lynn Chetwynd and Corinne Ross (Graham); his grandchildren, Jeremy (Allison), Christopher, Brandy, Jenna (Josh), Ethan, Emilee, Harlow and Jase; his great grandchildren, Jaxtyn and Jensen; and his sister Barbara Brannen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
