He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie Brannen and Everett Brannen of Stoney Island, NS.; and his wife Sally Townsend (Sarah). He is also survived by one daughter; two grandsons; nine step-children; many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Oakvale Cemetery.
