He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor O'Connell and Beulah (Goodwin); and his sisters, Janice Crowell, Margaret Bradshaw, Rosalie Nickerson and Isabelle Muise.

He is survived by: his brothers, Herman O, Lester O, E. Bruce O and Wayne O. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
