She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Barss and Lillian Barss (Gill); her siblings, Judy, Marie and Keith; and her sister-in-law Janet.

She is survived by: her husband Malcolm; her children, Darryl and Shelley; her grandchildren, Ethan and Amanda; her great grandchildren, Aspen and Easton; her brother Roy; and her stepchildren, Catherine, Charmagne and Kenny. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
