She was predeceased by : her parents, Charlotte Almira Hilchey and Albert Edgar Hilchey; her husband Wendell Vaughn Rutledge; and her brothers, Claire and Woodrow Hilchey.

She is survived by : her daughter Wendy Heuston; her granddaughter Andrea Lothian; her nephew Robert Hilchey; her niece Carolyn Jordan; and her sisters-in-law, Marie Barker and Marjorie Evans. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
