She was predeceased by: her siblings, Alice Nicolls, Frances Badger, Carroll and James; and her former husband William Shackelford (Buddy).

She is survived by: her parents, Francis E Nicolls and Mary Winder Nicolls (Lytle); her children, Jane Bennett (Gerry) and Phil N. Hutchinson; and also America. She is also survived by 4 grandsons and numerous great grandchildren.
