He is survived by: his parents, William Mckean and Eleanor Mckean (Berwick); his in-laws, Sandra and David Confiant; his sisters, Robyn Redstar (Clyde) and Edmonton (Joy Barrett); his children, Alexander Mckean, Audrey Barrett-Couvrette, Charisa Lykow (Nathaniel) and Summerside; his grandchildren, Aliza Lykow and Oliver Lykow; his close friends, Bryce Dargavel, Paul Harper, Gina Kennedy, Patricia Dewolfe and Jeff White; and his pets, Jesse, Lillie, Baillie and Lucy.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Dartmouth Funeral Home (29 Queen St, Dartmouth, NS B2Y1G4). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
