He was predeceased by: his parents, Claire Pitre (Cormier) and Edmond Pitre; and his brother Alphonse Pitre. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his daughter Courtney; his daughter-in-law Bella; and his siblings, George (Pauline), Alyre (June), Joe (Rose), Harvey (Patsy), Norma (Wayne), Eva (Joe) and Jerome (Priscilla). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
