He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Benoit and Dorothy Benoit (David); his parents-in-law, Hilda and George; and his brothers-in-law, Gerry and George.

He is survived by: his wife Dianna (Gottschall); his siblings, Paul (Pat), Eddie (Donna), Gerald (Michelle) and Lucille; and his siblings-in-law, Billy (Janet), Kenny (Ann), Tim (Devin Moore) and Helen DeYoung (Louie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
