He is survived by: his close friend Shirley Mercer; his daughters, Julie Van Norden (Duane), Pamela Archibald (Bert) and Bonita Sturgeon (Anthony); and his siblings, Anne McNeil, Carolyn Toomey (Jack) and Alex Buchanan (Tracie). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
In keeping with Art's wishes, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Adsum House, Hope Cottage, Shelter Nova Scotia, or Akoma Holdings Incorporated.
