He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Shorten and Edith Shorten; and his brother Bernard. He is survived by: his siblings, Bobby Shorten (Cindy), Betty Tancock (Allan) and Shirley Haynes (Bill Flinn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
