He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Morris Gordon and Mary Watts Gordon (Mamie); his wife Lorraine (Gaudet); his daughter Dara Lynn Gordon; and his siblings, Tom Gordon, Elizabeth Murphy, Anna Jean Holland and Ella Ballantyne.

He is survived by: his significant other Denyse Bergeron of Quebec City; his son Richard (Barb Jones); his son-in-law Gerald McConnell; his grandchildren, Devon (Darcy Bishop), Ashley McConnell-Gordon (Steve Kley), Sarah Gordon and Marc Gordon (Isabelle Jubenville); his great grandchildren, Isla, Harris Hawk, Loulou Bishop, Ella and James Kley; and his sisters, Gwen Maclachlin and Joan Matthews.
