It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernard Joseph Guy Gareau (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurent Gareau and Laurianne Gareau; and his siblings, Pauline Beaulieu and Gaston Gareau. He is survived by: his children, Michael (Mary Couillard) of Guelph, Charmaine Langille (Ken) of Ottawa, Janice of Dartmouth, Paul (Sheri Alexander) of Dartmouth, Lyse Markert (Jeff) of Dartmouth and Pierre (Amber Walker) of Dartmouth; his grandchildren, Jennifer Duncan, Laura Gareau Sanchez, Sarah, Justin, Zachary Langille, Matthew, Veronica Highmore, Alex, Sophie Gareau, Aliza Aldana, Hannah, Rachel Markert, Madeleine and Malcolm Gareau; and his siblings, Laurentienne Gamache, Yolande Gareau and Guy Gareau. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9). A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
