We announce the death of Bernard Joseph Petitpas of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 70. Bernard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fedorine Petitpas and Harold Petitpas; and his siblings, Albert (Jacinthe), Ginette and Hélène.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Kelley (Dougie), Becky (Joe) and Ashley (Stephen); his grandchildren, Dylan, Cameron, Sawyer, Quentin, Brooklyn and Hudson; his siblings, Carole, Francine, Suzanne (Jean-Luc), Sophie (Guy), Gabriel and Sarge (Lison); and his caregivers, Stephanie, Patti, Dr Tana, Dr Sneddon, Dr Abed and Elizabeth. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Palliative Care, DGH Foundation.
