He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Richardson and Jean Richardson; and his brother Howard "Howie" Richardson. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Dubois, Emma Dubois and BSc; his close friend Sheryl Dubois (Richard Carruthers); his siblings, Douglas "Dougie" Richardson, Linda Richardson, Jo-Ann Richardson (Michael Baumel) and Christine Richardson; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Natalia Richardson, Derek Richardson, Sarah Young, Jeffery Young (Jessica Miller), Kerry-Ann Howard (Adam Lenet), Jake Carruthers (Milaine Chaumont), Ryan Carruthers (Roxanne Blondin), Jeremy, Zachary, Abigail, Cadence, Ethan, Aiden, Jamie, Charlie, Russell and Livie.
