It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian Ralph Oxner (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 26, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Oxner and Elvera Oxner (Lefavour); and his nephew Gary Kidston (Trena). He is survived by: his wife Eileen Oxner (Kidston); his children, Garth (Sue Thexton) and Gail Hartling (Jamie); his grandchildren, Matthew Hartling and Sarah Shaw (Tristan); his sister Shirley Coffin (late Lloyd); his sibling's children, Stephen Coffin (Idriss), Sandi Le Riche (Mick), Scott Coffin, Paul Kidston (Angela) and Sandi Kidston (Elliott Richman); and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Brundage (late Kenneth) and Connie Backman (John).
Visitation will be Monday, August 31st at Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen Street, 7-9 pm with Covid protocol. Tuesday, Sept. 1st, an outdoor funeral service and interment, 2 pm in Chester Basin at Lakeview Cemetery, Croft Road, is open to family and friends.
