He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Graves and Hazel Graves (McDow) of Woodside; and his sisters, Joan Gerard, Joyce Hodder and Wendy Graves.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Graves (Scott); his children, Sherry Shrum (Robert) and Troy Graves (Cate); his siblings, Debbie Graves (Gary), Reginald Graves (Edith), Gregory Graves (Shirley), Robert Graves' (Bonnie) and Terry Graves (Ella); his grandchildren, Tyler Graves, Carolyn Shrum, Logan Graves and Brodie Graves; and his pet Petra. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
