He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret McLaws (Goode) and Derek McLaws. He is survived by: his husband Gordon Howell-Mercer; his daughter Amanda McLaws; his stepchildren, Alice Howell-Mercer and Walter Howell-Mercer; and his siblings, Elizabeth McLaws and Ian McLaws (Beth).
