She was predeceased by: her father George Whalen; her husband Edgar Stuart (Ted); her son Michael; and her siblings, George, Clarence, Raymond, Harold, Reginald, Clifford, Earl, Marie (Corbette), Lillian and Joan (Brown).

She is survived by: her children, Linda Clarke (Stephen), Catherine Hamilton (David), Christopher (Shelly) of Dartmouth and Edgar Stuart (Rachel) of Virginia, USA; and her sister-in-law Shirley of Halifax. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren – the love of her life; 3 cherished great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Saint John XXIII building fund or Salvation Army, Gottingen Street, Halifax.
