She was predeceased by: her parents, Harriet Munro and Whitfield Munro (Stellarton); and her sisters, Geraldine Guthro (Dan), Jean Chisholm (Dunc) and Molly Munro.

She is survived by: her husband Gerry Young of Newfoundland; her brother Sandy (Joan); her sons, Dean (Shelma), Dale (Babette) and Darren (Andrea); her grandchildren, Kris, Kalyn (Derrell), Luke, Amy, Nicholas and Jack; and her great grandchildren, Jayda and Jordyn.
