She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Wicks and Esther Wicks; her in-laws, Ben and Anna Brown; her siblings, Martha, Amelia (Jim), Dave (Patsy) and Herb (Beatrice); and her nephew Brian.

She is survived by: her husband Lloyd Brown; her son David; her brothers-in-law, Bill (Sun), Frank (Carol) and Sterling (late Ella Mae); and her sibling's children, Claude (Judy), Sharon (late John), Keith (Lois), Blaine (Sandra), Bev (Darren), Brenda (Jeff), Stacy (Darrell), Stephen (Robyn), Renee, Lisa Lynn (Trevor), Bernadette (Doug) and Natasha (Jason).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Claudette's memory may be made to the SPCA, a cause dear to her heart.
