He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Clayton Sr. and Edith Irene Clayton (Drummond); his sons, Cory and Troy Clayton; his stepdaughter Cora Kpogli (James); his siblings, Ervin, Joseph (Denny), Nolan (Johnny) and Vivian Macphee; and his grandparents, Peter, Sarah Clayton, James and Selena Drummond.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Yorke); his stepchildren, Richard Yorke Yarmouth (Grace) and Elizabeth Falls; his stepgrandson Jahleel Kpogli; and his siblings, Clara Gough of East Preston, Althea Tolliver (James) of East Preston, Martha Grant (Barrington) of East Preston, Pamela Wall, Peter Clayton and Carleton.
