He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hopper and Margaret Hopper (Sudsbury); and his brother Gordie. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, James and Michelle; his granddaughters, Jenna Ann and Mia Louise; and his siblings, Valerie Brent (Calvin) and Ernie (Elaine). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
