He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Julia (Leblanc) and John Finlay MacDonald. He is survived by: his siblings, Archie, Simon, Allan, Roddy, Catherine and Tilly; his wife Sharon (Christie); his children, Steven and Patricia (Patrick Kinsman); and his sister Thelma Mason (Ronnie). He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Darrell's name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
