He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Reid and Lucy Davies (Settee); his children, Deborah Leah and Vernon Willard; and his brother Delmar.

He is survived by: his wife Ursula Davies of Dartmouth; his children, David Llewellyn Jr., Musquodoboit, Alex, Verna Margaret Lucy (Jake) of Ontario, Debbie Dartmouth (Joanne) and Melissa Dawn (Cliff); his grandchildren, Trevor, Paul, Joshua, Ashley and Angela; and his great grandchildren, Brooklynn and Addison.
