He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Innes and Bessie (Carlton); his siblings, Gordon, Everett G, Robert and Helen Moore; his siblings-in-law, William Moore and Laura Boadreau Innes; his parents-in-law, Walter A. Hansen and Martha (Khallil); and his brother-in-law Raymond Hansen.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn (Hansen); his children, Caroline, Helena and David Jr. (Suzanne); and his grandchildren, Evan, Lily, Isabel and Bailey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephew, grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
