He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Brooks and Russell Williams; his sister Dormay Clayton; and his grandparents, Rita Brooks and George Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Margo Brooks; his children, Russell Brooks (Bedford), Jortiell Brooks (North Preston), Danae Brooks Misener and Joy Beals; and his sister Heather Hackett (Halifax). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
