He was predeceased by : his parents, Christina Williams (Young) and Jack Williams; his siblings, Gordon, Elizabeth and Jeanetta; and his brother-in-law Mike Head.

He is survived by : his wife Marina; his daughter Jana; his siblings, Geraldine Young (Norm), Marjory Way (Aubrey), Fred (Fronie), John (Roma) and Derek (Michelle); and his sister-in-law Margaret Williams.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
