Doris Lavenia Cohoon Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Lavenia Cohoon (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 30, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon; her parents, Eugene LaPierre and Glendoris LaPierre; and her siblings, Mary Wigginton, Eugene LaPierre, Eddy LaPierre and Peter LaPierre.

She is survived by: her children, Pauline Peddle (Trevor Peddle), Juanita Groves (Steve Groves), Alanna Cohoon (Gordon Hyland) and Paul Cohoon; her grandchildren, Christine Landry, Gordon Peddle, Brandon Groves, Colin Groves, Shannon Lander, Alicia Lander, Sarah Cohoon, Angela Cohoon-McNeil and Matthew Cohoon; her siblings, Gerald LaPierre (Shirley), Dianne Pettipas (Carl), Judy LaPierre, Daniel LaPierre (Sandra) and Tom LaPierre (Linda); and her close friend Mary Boulay.

In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able to make a donation to the Alzheimer's Society Nova Scotia.
