Dorothy Adelaide Mandy Obituary

Mandy, Dorothy Adelaide (Yetts) 97 of Dartmouth. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Dorothy into God's care on December 15, 2025. Dorothy was born in Ottawa, Ontario the daughter of Maynard and Zena (MacKerrow) Yetts. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Gerald; daughter, Jo-Ann; grandchildren, Ben, Amy, Bobbi; great grandchildren, Sid and Lylah all of Nova Scotia, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dot worked for the Bank of Canada and the Royal Bank in Ottawa before moving to the Maritimes. In Dartmouth she was very proud and happy to devote many years working with. Special Education at Mary Lawson School. She taught Sunday school at St. Luke's Church for 10 years. She became a member of St. John's Church, Westphal, where she served on a number of committees. Dot loved "The Little Church with the Big Heart".

Dot and Gerry really enjoyed camping, especially canoeing. She and Gerry spent many summers exploring the waterways in and around Kejimkujic National Park. Later they spent many years camping at Lake Charlotte where the grandchildren often visited.

Visitation will take place 2-4, 6-8pm Monday, December 22 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St, Dartmouth where a celebration of life will be held 2:30 pm Tuesday, December 23. A reception will follow in the funeral home.

Donations in memory may be made to St. John's Anglican Church, Westphal.
