He was predeceased by: his parents, Rebecca Mackay (Gormley) and Arthur Mackay; and his brother John Mackay (late Harriett). He is survived by: his spouse Alice (Marcipont); his children, Margaret Hendsbee (Richard), Scott Mackay (Sherry), Mary Alice Dingwall (John) and Ken Mackay (Angela); and his siblings, Peg Crawley (late George) and Fred Mackay (Audrey). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019 at St. Thomas Moore Roman Catholic Church, 15 Caledonia Rd. Dartmouth N.S. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia would be appreciated by the family.
