Douglas Edward McKay Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Edward McKay (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), who passed away on May 7, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McKay and Grace Eisnor (McKay); and his sister Ethel Butler. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Florence (Hines); his daughters, Patricia Snow (Edward) and Beverley (Derek Bent); his grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley; his stepgranddaughters, Tanya and Natasha; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Tyler, Reily, Jordin and Ella; and his siblings, Donald (Josephine), Shirley Thompson and Debbie Cribby (Kevin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions a memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
