It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Elaine Louise Waterfield (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), who passed away at the age of 80, on December 2, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin "Ted" and Helen (Kemp); and her siblings, Terry, Alfred "Skippy" and Judy.
She is survived by: her husband Bruce Welsman; her brother Carl (Viola); her daughters, Ferne Welsman (John Chapman) and Kim Lewington (Geof); her grandchildren, Michael Welsman-Dinelle (Timothy Mitchell), Steven Welsman and Emily Chapman; and her son-in-law John. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Her refusal to move to assisted living most likely gained her the months of this last summer and fall of her life, as she was safely tucked away in her apartment as the pandemic swept through Nova Scotia's extended care homes this spring.
