We are sad to announce that on February 10, 2020, at the age of 92, Elsie Marie Byers (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), born in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her mother Aletha Mantley; her husband Artel Byers; her sons, Frankie, James and Jerry; her grandson Jerry Leigh; and her siblings, Paul, Jimmy, Norma and Josie.
She is survived by : her children, Wayne Marshall (Montreal), Douglas Byers (Valerie), Bernice Arsenault (John) and Carrie Byers (Dartmouth); her siblings, Jeanette Posey (Dartmouth), Patsy Jefferies (Calgary), Linda Mantley (Halifax), Sylvia Mantley (Halifax), David Mantley (Toronto) and Michael Mantley (Truro); her grandchildren, Darleen, Micheal, James, Dougie, Jonathan, Chris and Mesha; and her great grandchildren, Deon, Aynsley, Nia, Silas, James, Eve, Kianna, Bennett, Eli and Hillary. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Feed Nova Scotia.
