She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Roy and Dorcas Isilda Roy; her husband Maurice Tobias Kavanaugh; and her brothers, Verton, Hector, Herbert and Donald.

She is survived by: her children, Maureen Elwood, Mike (Linda), Dorcas MacNaughton, Dave Pomquet (Anne Marie), Kathy (Jack), Theresa MacIsaac (Boyd) and Lisa (Mark).
