Ethel Maureen Hyland Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Maureen Hyland of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, born in Zealand, New Brunswick, who passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Winslow Lawrence and Ethel Lawrence; her husband Donald William Hyland; and her sisters, Jaska Lawrence, Lila Brewer, Joan Lawrence and Rae Brewer.

She is survived by: her children, Allan Hyland of Sackville, NS, Gary Hyland (Dale Roberts) of Beechville, NS, Anne Soper (Todd) of Quispamsis, NB and Liana Fader of Middle Sackville, NS; her granddaughters, Jennifer Schilling (John) of Sherwood Park, AB, Nicole Soper, Rachel Soper and Hannah Soper of Quispamsis, NB; her great grandchildren, Austin Schilling, Gavin Schilling and Benjamin Schilling of Sherwood Park, AB; and her brothers-in-law, Orlo Brewer of Burtts Corner, NB, John Wicks and Paul Hyland (Sue) of Lower Sackville, NS. She is also survived by many other extended family members and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to make a donation in Maureen's memory to Beacon House, Sackville, Nova Scotia.
