He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Victor Hooper and Viola Henley Hooper; and his brothers, Len Hooper and Doug Hooper. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hooper; his son Joseph (Lisa Hooper); his grandchildren, Olive, Mack, Mila and Ruthie; his son Christopher Barroll; his grandchildren, Noelle, Bronwyn and Kennedy; his daughter Jennifer Barroll-McNamara (Peter); his grandchildren, Dylan and Willow; his daughter Carolyn Hooper; his brother Wayne Hooper (Kelly); and his sister-in-law Susan Finn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
