With profound sadness, we say goodbye to George Drennan Best (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. George Drennan left this world on May 23, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Jane Drennan and George Kinsman Best; and his brothers, Gord, Calvin, Jimmy and Alan Best.
He is survived by: his children, Colleen (Kelly), David (Valerie), Joe and Mark (Krista); his grandchildren, Derek, Amanda, Bradley, Lindsay, Tyler, Katelyn and Zoe; his wife Julia Marie; and his sisters, Mary Pat and Colleen.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you raise a glass of red wine in his memory and think of him at peace by the lake he loved so dearly. Donations can be made in George's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
