George Leo Varbeff Obituary
The memory of George Leo Varbeff of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, born in Moncton, New Brunswick, who passed away on April 1, 2025 at the age of 97, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Varbeff and Mary Peters; his former wife Mary Hazel Fleming; his wife Ivy May Munroe (Clements); and his siblings, Boris, Alvina, Lillian, William, Marie, Ralph and Lorraine.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela (Doug), Stephen (Marlene), David and Carolyn (Barry); his stepchildren, Margaret (Gordie), Allan (Gail) and Brian (Kathy); his grandchildren, Sheila, Christopher, Michael, Danielle, Kevin and Laura; his stepgrandchildren, David, Angela, Erin, Andrea, Jenny, Kenny and Shawn; and his sister Bernice. He is also survived by three great grandchildren and fourteen step great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
