He was predeceased by: his parents, Pansy Demings of Alberta and George Douglas Demings; his former wife Joy; and his siblings, Charlotte (Lottie), Gray, Doris, Dorreen and Allan.
He is survived by: his wife Bep; his children, Linda (Barry) of Dartmouth and Dennis of Dartmouth; his brother-in-law Kevin Ripley (Darlene) of Dartmouth; his sisters, Tena Haney (Reg) of Scarborough, ON and Diane MacIntosh (Rod) of River Philip, NS; his granddaughter Brianna Demings; his niece Paige Ripley; his stepchildren, Nicole Hardy-Fong (Jason) of Dartmouth, Kim Hardy (Mike) of Bedford and Erik Hardy of Bedford; his stepgrandson Zayn; his children, Hop Polka and Beverley St; Dianne and Dennis.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Port Wallis United Church (263 Waverley Rd, Dartmouth, NS B2X2C8). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
