She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Dexter and Florence Dexter; her husband Robert David Sims; her daughter Brenda Jane McMullin; and her sisters, Barbra Ann Johnson and Bernice Whynot.

She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Harmes (Jim Weidhaas) of Round Hill, Heather Lazar (Stephen) of Tremont and Andrea Atwood (Warren) of Middle Sackville.
