It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gordon Richard Townsend (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), who passed away on February 14, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandson Shane Schofield; and his siblings, Doug, Ron, Ruth Sabiston, Marion Oxner, Vivian Randle and Audrey Faulkner.

He is survived by: his former wives, Patricia Marie (MacDonald) and Maxine Townsend (Nickerson); his daughters, Cathy Schofield (Charlton), Debbie Marlborough (Lawrence Goodland) and Aline Oicle (Brian); his grandchildren, Bret Schofield, Peter Marlborough (Lindsey), Courtney LaRusic (Ian) and Mitchell Melanson; and his stepchildren, Bob (Deleta) and Mark MacDonald (Theresa). He is also survived by four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
