He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine Wilson; and his sister Dale McKenna (Brian). He is survived by: his children, Dwight Wilson (Melanie), Boutliers Point, Dwayne Wilson (Denise), Jason Wilson (Holly), Sutherlands River, Angela Ackles (Greg), Andy McClair (Elizabeth), Mike McClair (Lisa), Waverly and Danny McClair (Krista); and his brother Doug Wilson (Darlene). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, 10 great grand children, and one great, great, grand child.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9). A reception will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
